These Girls Are Already Making an Impact in Cub Scouts

April 3, 2018

It’s tradition for a Scout meeting to open with the Pledge of Allegiance and the recitation of the Scout Oath and Law. What hasn’t been common before now was having girls leading that activity.

At a pack meeting in San Jose, the Bay Area NBC news team got an opportunity to see some of the community’s new female Cub Scouts participating in a meeting and talking about the fun they are excited to experience as part of the Cub Scouts.

Watch the great video below:

The Early Adopter program that welcomes girls into the Cub Scouts started in January in many communities and has been steadily growing in the lead-up to the broader launch of Cub Scouting that will take place at the beginning of the new school year in 2018.
