WELCOME TO CUB SCOUTING: EARNING THE TIGER RANK
A 7 year old or child in the first grade joins Cub Scouting with their parent or adult guardian. Tigers and their adult partners are just that, partners. They attend meetings together, go on adventures like field trips together, and complete requirements together.
A Tiger first works on earning the Bobcat badge. After completing the requirements for Bobcat they go on to complete the requirements for the Tiger rank and the many electives that are offered.
- Complete each of the following Tiger required adventures with your den or family:
a. Games Tigers Play
b. My Tiger Jungle
c. Team Tiger
d. Tiger Bites
e. Tiger Circles: Duty to God
f. Tigers in the Wild
- Complete one Tiger elective adventure of your den or family’s choosing.
- With your parent, guardian, or other caring adult, complete the exercises in the pamphlet How to Protect Your Children From
Child Abuse: A Parent’s Guide.
- Earn the Cyber Chip award for your age. (The Cyber Chip portion of this requirement may be waived by your parent or guardian if you do not have access to the internet.
|For each adventure, the Tiger and adult partner team must complete the requirements as outlined in the Tiger Cub Scout Handbook. Requirement 7 of Bobcat and requirements 3 of Tiger are identical. If a Cub Scout earns the Bobcat badge during the same year they need only to complete the requirement one time.|
